3. Products, Condition & Fitment
We work to describe every product accurately, including its condition (remanufactured, new, or used, always disclosed on the listing), specifications, and fitment. Photographs may be representative of the product type rather than the exact serial-numbered unit you receive.
Fitment is a shared responsibility: we publish the application data we have for each unit, and you are responsible for verifying that a part fits your specific vehicle before ordering, using your VIN, casting numbers, or your installer’s confirmation. If you are unsure, email us before purchase and we will help verify the application. A part ordered against the wrong application is covered by our 30-day return window, not by warranty.
4. Pricing, Availability & Errors
All prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Prices and availability may change without notice, but changes never apply to orders already accepted. Despite our efforts, a listing may occasionally contain an obvious error in price, description, or availability; in that case we reserve the right to correct the error and, where an order was placed against it, to cancel the affected order with a prompt and full refund, including any core charge. We will always contact you before cancelling so you can decide whether to proceed at the corrected terms.
5. Orders & Payment
Placing an order is an offer to purchase. We may accept, limit, or decline any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock issues, and you will be notified promptly with a full refund of anything paid if we cannot fulfill an order. Payment is collected at checkout using the methods presented there and is processed securely; we never store full card numbers on our servers. By providing a payment method you represent that you are authorized to use it. Orders are not shipped until payment has cleared.
6. Core Charges
Some remanufactured units carry a refundable core charge, shown on the product page and collected with your order. The core charge is a deposit against the return of your old rebuildable unit and is refunded in full when the core is returned in rebuildable condition, as described in our Returns & Refunds policy.
7. Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss
Shipping is free to all 50 U.S. states as described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. Please inspect freight shipments before signing and report visible damage within 48 hours; transit damage reported per the policy is resolved at no cost to you.
8. Returns & Refunds
Returns are governed by our Returns & Refunds policy: a 30-day window on uninstalled items in original condition, free return shipping, and no restocking fee on eligible returns. That policy controls what qualifies and how refunds are issued.
9. Warranty
Product warranties are governed by our Warranty Information page and by the specific terms confirmed in writing for your unit at the time of sale, which control the coverage period for that item. Remanufactured drivetrain units require installation by a qualified technician, with the fluids and components specified, for coverage to apply. Except for those express warranties, products are provided without further warranties of any kind, and we disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows.
10. Proper Use of Products
Drivetrain components and shop equipment are technical products that must be installed, operated, and maintained by people competent to do so, following the documentation supplied. You are responsible for using products safely and for complying with any laws that apply to their installation and use. Products cataloged for a given application should not be used outside it.
11. Website Use & Intellectual Property
The content of this site, including text, product data, images, and branding, belongs to Steel Bay Automotive Supply or its licensors and may not be scraped, copied, or republished without permission. You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to breach security, no automated bulk harvesting of the catalog, no fraudulent orders. We may suspend access for abuse.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The site is provided “as is”; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we work to keep it accurate and available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steel Bay Automotive Supply is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the site or the purchase, installation, or use of products, including towing, labor, rental vehicles, or lost profits, except where an item’s stated warranty terms expressly provide an allowance. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product at issue.
